In 2009 photography took a big step back for me, as I'd gotten a bit burnt out after snapping a dozen parties' worth of Juke pics, plus a ton of other stuff. However, I thought I should go through and grab my favorite pics from this year, just to maybe inspire myself to get back into it in oh-ten.
So here they are, in no particular order. I should say that some of these pics here because they are faves and not necessarily because they are the best quality. There were some good times around these pictures.
And yeah, the
Pris logo is a bit much, sorry. I need to go back and replace those with logo-less versions. Oh well.

I just got a chance to upload some new photos, including a handful from
Irene Moon's recent Cincinnati show.
(head to
flickr for more)
Also, check out a hilariously lame
review of the show. Note the comments especially. :)

I went to NYC last week to catch the premiere of
Get in the Van, the documentary on the reunion tour of the 2 Skinnee J's, an excellent band and personal friends of mine. I only got
a few snaps from the premiere, though, since I was more focused on the film. Here's one from the Q&A:
While I was there, I was able to attend a semi-exclusive recording of a live, acoustic set the band did for Raw Dog on Sirius XM. I'm not sure when it will air, but I did manage to get quite a few good pics. The
whole set is on flickr, but here are a couple of my favorites.
This was the first time I really got to use
my new lens. I like it!

I didn't want to let my photo blog miss out on my Sunn O))) pics, especially since I've gotten quite a few compliments on them. They were taken with my Canon SD750 point & shoot (and a couple in the
flickr set are from my Treo).

We at
Pris decided to team up with
RaceCarProductions (which a lot of us are involved with) to present Prom for 2009. Here are a couple snaps (courtesy the Nikon D50); more at
