here's this morning's list, courtesy last.fm. i feel about it the same way George Michael feels about sex: not everybody does it, but everybody should.
Mr. Oizo - Scum Hotel Cornbugs - Chuckles Kromestar - Take It Easy Pete Shelley - Qu'est-Ce Que C'est Que Ça Die fantastischen Vier - Beweg' dein Popo (live) Gwen Stefani - Yummy Lassigue Bendthaus - Sunshine Superman (Stereo Phase Update) Herbzman - Heads And Hats Queen - A Kind of Magic Aggro1 - Baby Runs Like a Temper (Kittie vs. Prodigy)
ok, that last one went through via email, so heres another.
blogger is now requiring all users to use the new version. that's great, and i expected it.
HOWEVER, now that i get the conversion notice again, i get this message:
> Switch already tried > > You have already tried to switch this Blogger account to your Google > Account. Please check your email for a message about the status of this > switch. > > If your previous switch was successful, head over to your Dashboard. > > If your previous switch failed, we will let you know on your old Blogger > Dashboard when we are ready for you to try switching again.
i have gotten no notices from blogger to any email account at all.
any attempt to access my blogs (which make up the bulk of my site, not just this blog) eventually wind up back at the above error page. this means, then, that other than this email method (which i implemented way back when and never used), i cannot update my blogs (or, more frustratingly, delete spam comments).
blogger has a help system which rivals microsoft's best -- any accessing of the relevant help faqs results (rather quickly) in a recursive set of pages, and all i can do at that point is click "no, this wasn't useful".
annoying.
the google group for blogger help mostly refers back to the recursive faq entries. boo hiss.
so, for a while i guess, plain text entries only until blogger lets me in.
