using google's link search (whic h i didn't know existed) i found some images from an old show i did with infinite number of sounds, including a pic of my hearse:
they were taken by Chris Glass, whom i'm not sure whether i know (i don't think so), but i'm glad he was there.
first, the trip to the bmv that i thought would take forever didn't take any time at all, because i didn't actually go to the bmv; instead, i went to the title office next door, where i was served immediately. cool.
also, a friend of mine from a few years back (circa late 90s, i think) got in touch with me. rene sent me a myspace message that started like this: "waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaazzzzzzzzzzz up man - i've been searching the whole fucking internet for you." awesome. he lives in berlin now, which is great -- i think i'll use that as an excuse for my first out-of-country trip. maybe next year some time.
plus, i found out today that i don't have to get tickets to see negativland in chicago, as they're playing at the southgate house just a few days later. i'm very excited, and i've already decided to save the allotted gas money and spend it at their merch booth.
i can't for the life of me find the old jeep's title to send to the insurance company, so i have to go to the dmv tomorrow and get a copy. bla.
i uploaded some more old photos to my flickr account. it's a few from a bonfire party at the abode of venomous valdez, a local dj friend of ours. we didn't stay late (a show or something later, i don't remember), but gabe was wearing a skirt, so that was funny. i don't know why, but it doesn't matter at this point.
so yeah, click to see them, though if you don't know me or gabe, you probably won't find them that entertaining.
sorry i've been away so long! i don't even have a good excuse.
so yeah, here are some things from the last couple weeks-ish:
i totaled my jeep cherokee. no one was injured, but it's gone.
i bought a newer jeep cherokee, a 2001 (the other was a 1992). it's the newest, nicest car i've owned. all the doors work (which i couldn't say about the other one) and it has a cd player. fancy.
i (dj empirical) had my birthday show last friday. infinite number of sounds were excellent as always, and i think i did fairly well, too. it was quite bittersweet, though, as it was their last cincinnati show.
i suddenly (after hearing them mentioned a zillion times over the last few years) became a fan of Gil Mantera's Party Dream. who knew?
