so, yeah. almost immediately after my top ten post, i remembered a 2005 cd that i put away for fear of overplaying. i got it out again, and yes, it has displaced negativland (sorry!) in the number ten spot.
Wayne Butane "Imbalanced"
i will be editing my post below to reflect this. sorry. i reserve the right to change it until 2006.

McDeviltoastI write under a pseudonym, while McDeviltoast uses his real name. :)
b) sorry things have been sparse on here. i think mcdeviltoast may have abandoned this blog for the myspace blog function. i don't know; i cant stand those things, myspace blogs.
c) both of us have different shows tonight. mine's at the southgate house:
come out, if you can. i go on at 8, and then i spin between all the bands downstairs.

Well, even though 2005 isn't quite over, DJ Empirical still had to submit a top 10 of 2005 list to
I See Sound for the staff picks section that's coming up.
here's the list:
1) Venetian Snares "Rossz Csillag Allat Született"
2) Opeth "Ghost Reveries"
3) Jason Forrest "Shamelessly Exciting"
4) Einstürzende Neubauten "Grundstück"
5) Chalk "The Hyperventilating Culture"
6) Buckethead & Friends "Enter the Chicken"
7) M.I.A. "Arular"
8) 13 & God "13 & God"
9) Köhn en de Portables "Op visite bij tante Klara"
10) Wayne Butane "Imbalanced" (replaces: Negativland "No Business")
Feel free to leave comments. There'll be a writeup (i think) when it's published; i'll post a link at that time.
[note: i replaced the #10 record. see
here for the reference.]
